A Change of Plans

Ok, So I know a lot of people have been waiting for an update about the wedding. For right now, it's off, but not permanently... Just kind of postponed by about 3 years.

I started attending the Art Institute of Pittsburg for my Fashion Retail and Management degree finally.
Joey's credit is way beyond shit thanks to two certain previous ladies.

So those two combined mean that we basically have to wait until 2013, my projected graduation year, in order to get married. Why? Because the woman inherits the mans credit score when they get married, which means that, with his current score, it'd make it beyond difficult to get any more student loans if I need them, and possibly even raise my interest on the ones I have to pay back.

Soooo... we're waiting.

The only aception to the waiting would be if Joey goes back into the Army like he wants to. If that's the case then we plan on doing a basic court-house marriage before he goes off to Basic. Then, after he's been in for a bit, we'll do the wedding we want to have, which went from being a large masquerade-like wedding, to being a semi-private Pagan cerremony at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado, provided the permits are still available and we can find an ordained Pagan/Wiccan Priest and Priestess.

So for now, there you have it.

Cake, Cake, Patty Cake.

Ok... Cakes... Here we go...
So, Joey and I have pretty much decided on what we want to do for the cakes. We're having two separate cakes fashioned for him and I (we're thinking WoW character for him and Dress Form/Mannequin for me) and one large cake for the wedding attendees. So since we've got that pretty much decided, I've been looking around Wedding Cake sites for some ideas for cakes... And I've got to say... there are so pretty cute ideas out there.

These are just a few that I found that I absolutely adored. I'm not really big on Round wedding cakes though, but I'm positive any of these designs would look equally as wonderful on a square cake as well.

*~*~*~*~*~*

On another note, Joey and I got into the discussion of Wedding Catering last night at dinner. He wants something like Famous Dave's or Rib Crib for our wedding, where I want it to be more like something nicer. Some type of pasta or fish, or maybe even a choice of the two, or something close. I just want nice, non messy, I don't have to worry about ruining my custom made dress by eating. I know my mom would absolutely die if I had Mai Maui or Red Snapper at our wedding. She loves those :D

So, again, what do you guys think? Feel free to throw me a solution, vote on either option above, or throw me some ideas of your own. I want serious input on this question at least, not like your responses to the Red Velvet or Angel's Food cake issue I brought up a few posts back, considering at the wedding you're all going to have to eat it too lol.

Oh! And don't forget, the Wedding mask voting below is still open for debate. Feel free to tell me which ones you like, because I just can't choose, and those are all the finalists.

Love Sandra

Masquerade Masks

Ok, So a DeviantArt user has given me some new hope... Kind of...
Reine~Haru, or Anastasia, can be found here on DeviantArt. She is a talented seamstress and does some amazing fantasy and medieval clothing. She even does custom corsets

Anyways, Since I'm pretty sure I lost the dress of my dreams, we've been talking about her making my dress, which we've estimated to cost over $1,000, and a specialized corset for it, to my specifications. I've already emailed her some of the primary designs that inspired the dress. I'm waiting for the final word from Frocks N Fashions before we move forward with this plan, but she did suggest an awesome site for masks since I've been having troubles finding any I liked that fit with the idea I have in mind for my wedding.

All I have to say is that these are Stunning.

The company's name eludes me right now, but they're a small firm based out of Venice, Italy, and their work is featured every year at the annual Mask Festival. Each mask is 100% hand crafted in Italy, has extremely intricate lazer cut metal (all real gold, nickel and Silver. I even saw some that were made from titanium) and feather accents. Every mask they offer is even hand set with real Swarvoski Crystals. And the best part is? They're completely affordable. The majority of the ones I like fall between 150 and 175 American dollars. How perfect is that?

Anyways, here are some of them that I liked. I want your opinions here because if Anastasia makes my wedding dress, then the design of the mask will play a huge role in the final design of my wedding dress.

Starting to Wonder...

If Joey even wants to get married.
Or if we're even meant to be married.

The reason I'm beginning to ask this is firstly, he doesn't seem to take any interest in planning the wedding.... at all. I can't do it by myself, i have no clue what i'm doing. Secondly, we seem to be lacking financial stability. The economy blows. Period. That being said, we're stuck at Sonic, which is barley paying the bills -__-;

at this point i'm thinking of giving up on the whole, Victorian Masquerade wedding, and just saying "Fuck It", going down to a court house and just tying the knot there with no one but us and who ever decides to come. My problem is? I want to give him a real wedding, a real everything. I don't want to give him the same old crap Jen gave him... He deserves more than a court house wedding...

I am this close to just giving up... period.

Wardrobe Malfunction

So I think I lost that gorgeous dress. It makes me kind of sad and Angry at the same time because it was absolutely PERFECT. But thanks to my Ex Roommate Toni's bullshit i quite my job/got fired. Why can't people learn to leave home issues at home and not bring them into work?

So now, for the mean time i'm dressless and jobless and all wedding plans have been put on hold.

fun fun
